How do I prepare for the PI for IIM Rohtak?

Recently IIM Rohtak has stopped taking admissions under the CAP process and now conducts its own PI round. This round is quite similar to the Personal Interviews of other B Schools. Some tips to prepare for this round are

• Prepare a strong introduction. They say the first impression is the last impression. You can use this opportunity to steer the interview in your own direction. Talk about your achievements, strengths, and diverse experiences in the form of a story.
• Study current affairs thoroughly. Most of the questions they ask will be related to current affairs. You can read newspapers or watch online lectures to prepare for this.
• Study your state’s government scenarios. They might ask General Awareness Questions related to Indian polity, economy, and geography.
• Revise your past subjects. They might ask you about your favorite subjects so prepare well for this.
• Prepare for answering all work experience-related questions. These should be answered in the STAR approach (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
• Study about the institute. They might ask any questions related to the institute and your reason for choosing it.
• Know your hobbies and interests. This is a very common question in an interview and you can use it to direct the interview toward yourself.

The interviews now are usually conducted online so follow the general online PI etiquettes and you are good to go.
