Amrita University has evolved to be a well known and popular institution for engineering studies over the past few decades. Amrita University is UGC approved and has been ranked ‘A’ by NAAC’s evaluation. It has also ranked 4th among the top universities in the country by NIRF in 2020.

The department of Mechanical Engineering at Amrita University Coimbatore offers MTech programs in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Design, and Automation Engineering.

Here are some of the important elements that will be helpful for you to make a decision:

Admission:

  • Students should have passed with a minimum of 60% aggregate in BE/BTech/MSc in relevant engineering disciplines.

  • Admission to the MTech program is through GATE. For non-GATE qualified candidates, the selection is based on past academic records and personal interviews conducted by the University.

  • The total course fee for MTech courses at Amrita University is 3.57 lakhs.

Placement:

  • Top recruiters at the institute are Google, TCS, CTS. Tech Mahindra and Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Microsoft, and more.

  • The highest and the average salary package for its students remain to be around 30 LPA and 3.5 LPA.
