Why are the state universities like JNTU, Osmania and Andhra University underrated?

Having known about JNTU and Andhra University, I may be able to answer this question. There are several reasons why they are underrated:

• The faculty is not punctual and is often known to skip taking classes.
• Ph.D. scholars tend to take classes of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• There is no proper routine for daily classes and exams. No discipline is maintained.
• Students are not enthusiastic about their studies, they take part in classes only for attendance.
• The infrastructure is not maintained properly, lab facilities are not updated with newer machinery.
• The placement record is very poor.
• The library does not have a large collection of books. Only standard author books for technical streams are available.
• The condition of the hostels is bad and needs an immediate upgrade.

Most of the State universities are in a very bad or average condition. They do not invest in good machines with updated features, they keep the old ones which creates problems for students willing to learn industry-relevant topics. This is why many students prefer private institutions, as though they charge a hefty amount of fees, that at least provide new and modern facilities.
