Studied at Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India

Non-Tamil Nadu students are eligible to apply to Anna University and affiliated universities. The admission is merit-based. The prerequisites for admission are that you need to be a citizen of India. Applicants should also have passed 10+2 with a minimum average percentage. For general category students, the minimum required average is around 45%. While for SC/ST category students, the required percentage is 40%.

After doing some research online, I found out that the main campus of Anna University has CEG as well as A.C. tech companies.

  • The usual preference of the students is CEG but a large number of the students from the North end up opting for A.C. tech as the cutoffs are very high.
  • Do not make an impulsive decision and think before making one.
  • Even though it is easier to bag seats by using the NRI Quota, the fees for the hostel and tuition are very high compared to those of other universities.
  • Also, you will be disqualified if you take improvement exams for your class 12.
  • This is important especially for the candidates of Andhra Pradesh as its state government allows students to retake exams.
  • Seats for applicants from Kashmir will be reverted to ‘Northern Region’ in case of no applicant.

The applicants of other states can get started with their counseling session as soon as the same for the home state concludes.
