How much should I try to score in JEE main in order to get into NIT Trichy?

You did not mention your category or the branch so I will be giving you a general answer. To stay on the safe side, a score above 180 is necessary to get into NIT Trichy. The score required for top branches like CSE is around 250+ and lower for the reserved categories.

It is advised that you should not try and aim to get admission at NIT Trichy alone. You should make efforts and work hard so that you can get enrolled at NITs that are ranked higher than NIT Trichy.

My brother is an alumni of the institution and was not satisfied with the facilities and the standard of education there. However, if you still wish to know the rank that is required to get admission at NIT Trichy, I have mentioned the data for the year 2020 in the table below:
