Before talking about NITIE, you should focus more on the exams required for admission to the institute: CAT or GATE.

Aim for high scores in the exam you are appearing to get shortlisted not just from NITIE but from other good or even better institutions. Find the previous year's cut-off for the shortlist and target that. To be honest there is not much difference between the cut-offs and getting very high scores.

Once you are shortlisted, prepare well for the GD and PI rounds, groom yourself, improve your presentation skills, and put on a confident smile to get through these rounds.
