One of my close friends is a student of IIT Madras and he was able to give some information regarding the selection process at the institute.

The selection procedure for MS in IIT Madras is based on the following.

  • 20% weightage is given to the marks obtained in UG.
  • 40% weightage is given to the marks obtained from GATE.
  • 40% weightage is given to the marks obtained in an interview/exam.

The cut-off for civil engineering in the GATE for 2020 was as follows.
