One of my friends graduated from the IIT Madras and here are some points that might answer your question. IIT Madras is great. But regarding the topic of Environmental Engineering, some research is required.

  • Environmental Engineering is interesting and descriptive.
  • IIT Madras has great facilities which will help you do research and find solutions for environmental problems. The faculties are well known all over India for their environmental research.
  • There is a huge scope in the industry, academics as well as research.
  • Candidates with graduation in any relevant UG courses approved by AICTE or the government with a CGPA of 8 and above can apply without GATE.
