How is internet speed in IIT Madras?

One of my cousins attends IIT Madras and according to him, the internet speed at the institute is usually good but he also experienced difficulties at times.

• Sometimes, the internet is quite good. He has experienced downloading things at a speed of about 10 Mbps. But, he says that this incident can occur only seldom and might not be the same every time you are using it.
• Sometimes, his experience went downhill. If there were any technical issues regarding the wi-fi, then it could possibly take quite a few days to finally get resolved. At times like this, he experienced the internet speed to be around 20 Kbps to 50 Kbps.

However, there is provisions of an otherwise data-sharing platform to share anything among users inside the campus. Now, it provides decent to good internet speed, depending clearly upon who is sharing at what kind of speed. Mainly, it is LAN-based.
