BITS Pilani is an excellent institute, providing life to students that are a lot different from other institutes, including premier engineering colleges like IITs and others in India.

Life at BITS Pilani is confined to activities inside the campus only. There are very few to almost nothing to do outside the campus of BITS Pilani. This is because BITS is situated in a very remote area. You will need to travel at least 200+ km to reach the nearest big cities like Delhi or Jaipur.
The education system of BITS will teach you to manage your study life and extra-curricular life as well as possible.

The first year is the most stressful year at BITS Pilani because you will be new to a system of learning after 10+2. During this year, you should start to participate in clubs and events. Which may help you find your passion.
