Getting admission to PSIT Kanpur, with a UPTU score of 208 will be difficult, especially in popular branches. You can opt for the branch you are getting admission to and apply for branch change in the second year.

The college also offers direct admission based on merit. You can apply for the direct admission option as well.

One of my relatives has completed his B.Tech CSE from PSIT. As per his insights, it is better not to opt for any private institute or PSIT with such marks.

Admission Status

At 208/600 marks, admission will be difficult via counseling because these marks fall a little short. But you can get in through the Management Quota.
You can get in touch with the officials, and they will ask to write an exam and appear for an interview with the Faculty/ Dean.

Drawbacks of PSIT

They charge a fine on every little thing, and the amount is also huge.
You may not be able to enjoy your college life due to its strict rules and regulations.
Good marks are valued more than practical learning.
The curriculum is such that everything depends upon attendance, internal exams, and your relationship with the faculty members.

Overall, you will get admission in PSIT either through UPTU or through Management Quota. But it is better to go ahead with any government college.
