I have experience of around 5.8 years and looking for a career in strategy/consulting. Is the XLRI GMP program worth going for I should try again?

One of my very close friends studied GMP program at XLRI and here are some review points according to his experience which might give you a proper idea -

  • It involves building a career in Strategy/ Consulting.
  • You can directly get into a consulting firm but remember this happens often and not all the time.
  • It is a 2-phase preparation where you can build expertise in a particular domain and move to consulting roles.
  • At the end of the day, remember that "Consultant" is just a name given to a role. You may be creating a solution or devising a strategy under different roles.
