Is Carleton or Concordia University better for MEng in mechanical engineering?

Both Carleton and Concordia are top public universities of Canada, securing #301/400 and #201/400 rank in the domain of mechanical engineering by Academic Ranking of Universities Ranking (ARWU) 2020.

What do you suggest between University of Windsor & Ryerson University for MEng in mechanical? In the view of part-time work as well as a job after completing a Master's.

Both the universities are equally good for mechanical engineering. According to Times Higher Education Rankings 2021 University of Windsor has been ranked #251 and Ryerson University has been ranked #301 for engineering. Here are the pros and cons of both universities:

University of Windsor

  • Job after graduation is easier to find in Windsor which can be considered as a better option.
  • The living expenses at Windsor are less and affordable.
  • Part-time job offers are also available.
  • It is offered as a 2 years full-time course so you may feel time and budget restrained.

Ryerson University

  • More part –time job opportunities are available in Toronto so plenty of opportunities to support your funds
  • Since it's Toronto, the expenses are also high and you might feel at loss of time and money in spite of working part-time.
  • This program is offered full-time (for 1 year) and part-time for (2 years) so it's pretty flexible and depends on your needs and plans.
  • The program at Ryerson is thesis-based, course-based and has co-op work options.
