Which is best? MISB Bocconi, SOIL India, Woxsen or Great Lakes chennai?

AJ
Advait Joshi Posted On : July 11th, 2023
Lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

The best college depends on an individual's preferences and their future prospects. My friend is an alumnus of MISB Bocconi and was all praise of the institute's holistic approach. Listing a few perks he told me about the semester spent in Italy that gave him exposure at another level. The institute has a diverse faculty pool with professors from every corner of the world and top B Schools like IIMs. The student crowd is also heterogeneous and enhances the learning experience. All this helps you determine your inclinations and passions.

I am not saying MISB is better than the other mentioned institutes. All I am saying is that every college caters to different kinds of students and you should look for the one that caters to your needs its better to talk to the current batch as well as the alumni to get a better understanding and then make an informed decision.

Should I go with IBS Hyderabad or Woxsen Hyderabad?

AB
Anurag Basu Posted On : February 14th, 2023
Studied at B S High School

IBS Hyderabad has many shortcomings when compared to Woden Hyderabad which is a relatively new college. Some major drawbacks IBS faces today are

  • Batch-size: The biggest flaw is the huge batch size that obstructs personal attention to its students. Woxsen on the other hand has a much smaller batch size and promotes better teamwork and peer interaction. The smaller batch size at Woxen ensures the entire batch is taught by extremely talented faculty whereas the large batch size of ISB does not let the entire batch taught by the best professors. The visiting faculty who are the industry’s top-notch experienced professionals only conduct auditorium sessions and thus not the entire batch can attend.
  • Campus life: IBS Hyderabad has a much livelier campus life being new and decked with world class facilities. Its infrastructure speaks of the most modern example of internationally acclaimed architecture. Whereas IBS has shared housing, substandard infrastructure and a submissive environment.
  • Growth: Woxen has been growing at a spectacular rate and its placement statistics are a testament to that. Top companies like Amazon, KPMG, Virtusa, HDFC, and ICICI Sec visit Woxsen for placements.

The only advantage IBS Hyderabad has over Woxen is its legacy of being one of the oldest B Schools in India. Because of its early establishment, it now attracts a pool of the best recruiters better than that at Woxen.

What is the minimum percentage required to get into Woxsen School of Business? Is it worth it?

TD
Tezal Dahiya Posted On : June 21st, 2023

Woxsen University MBA Programmes demand a 60% aggregate and an acceptable entrance exam result. MBA applicants might take NMAT, CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, or Woxsen Aptitude Test (WAT). After submitting scores, the candidate must complete a psychometric test and personal interview. The applicant is chosen by the composite score of these three steps.

Score-based scholarships are also available. Merit scholarships are offered to high-scoring students. The website has a scholarship calculator and score-based slabs.

Its value relies on several factors. I think it's worth it because it has top B-School amenities. Practice-Based Learning, Industry Connect, Global Exposure, and Case Studies, Live Projects, Assignments, and Internships are offered. They also offer skill development courses and mock interviews for internship and final placements.
