It feels nice to be answering a question on Quora about BBD. This question stuck me while scrolling through the feed. There are a lot of speculations and reviews are doing rounds about several engineering colleges including Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow.
I am quite aware of all the conditions and quality of education at BBD because my sister graduated from there. She was in the 2015 pass out batch.

The faculty there is determined, sincere, punctual and very cooperative. Result of which is successful students who get placed in big firms and MNCs during campus placements and interviews. Moreover, the fact that it lays emphasis on a green culture makes it all the more beautiful place to stay and study. Senior students assist the juniors in their study projects and assignments and a large number of internships are offered. They have shown to have quite promising campus placements in the last couple of years.
As far as these two colleges are concerned, both are equally good in their respective locations. Lucknow is known as the capital city which will come with its own set of benefits. But, if you want to directly compare, my vote would go for PSIT Kanpur as it is especially good for computer science engineering.
Moreover, PSIT is also a private college. This will have its benefits including better placements for CS and other branches as well as compared to other institutes that are not based on NCRs. PSIT has also become one of the fastest-growing institutes in North India.
PSIT is also known for its discipline, faculty, and facilities which, are the best here as compared to BBD. However, BBD is less strict than PSIT so you can expect a little more personal growth at this college than the other one.
Finally, it all boils down to what you like. You can also choose the college which is nearer to you.

ITM GOI is the better option among these for CSE. It offers better academics, placements, and campus life. As per the recent highlights, ITM GOI placements have an average CTC of around INR 5-6 LPA. Recruiters such as Infosys, Byju’s, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. take part in the campus placements. The placement rate for the institute is around 90%.

Here are some of the key features and feedback about the university:
Babu Banarasi Das University has both positives and negatives like any other university. It's important for students to carefully evaluate their options and consider factors like course offerings, faculty, infrastructure, placements, and location before making a decision.
BBDU is a fraud engineering college because it does not meet the requirements required for the industry. This implies that students who graduated from this college are not skilled engineers.
The question is irrelevant since there are no placements in the colleges. All degree holders are transferred as clerks in the service-based businesses owned by the owners of the college.
It is also true that the pool-campus are only organized to deceive the degree holders. All 4-tier colleges and the companies involved in the recruitment share the same mindset of individuals.
Placement usually occurs when an engineering company requires trained engineers and searches at different colleges for such individuals. These companies offer an initial salary of 60,000 rupees per month as this is the usual salary of every engineer in the world.
