RGIPT, IIT BHU, and IIPE, all three are reputed national-level colleges. Choosing among these three, depends on the course you are interested in. Selecting the right branch is more important than brand recognition of the college. So, don’t choose IIT BHU, only because of the IIT tag. It’s true that the IIT tag offers certain advantages. But for job opportunities, your branch will matter more.
If the petroleum and energy sector is where you envision your future to be, then choose between IIPE and RGIPT. On the contrary, if you want to pursue other core branches then go for IIT BHU.
IIT BHU offers a plethora of courses for students and being an IIT it has a reputation of its own kind. So, if a student has an affinity towards other branches like CSE, IT, or ECE, then IIT BHU is a better option. On the contrary, IIPE and RGIPT are both excellent emerging colleges for pursuing a career exclusively in the petroleum and energy sector.
Amongst IIPE and RGIPT, IIPE is located in Visakhapatnam which has an unfathomable potential for energy production. RGIPT, on the contrary, does not offer such an opportunity. Also, the structure of the course curriculum is much better in IIPE as compared to RGIPT. IIPE though in its inception, has already attained the status equivalent to an IIT. RGIPT, on the other hand, is an institute of national importance that offers a limited number of seats and has produced a considerable number of alumni as opposed to IIPE.
On an overall scale, IIPE is preferred over RGIPT. IIT BHU, on the other hand, is known for offering exclusive courses like Ceramics, Pharmaceutical, and Engineering which is not the case in IIPE and RGIPT. So, if you are aspiring to excel in Petroleum and energy sector, you should choose between RGIPT and IIPE. On the other hand, if you do not want any risk factor, go for IIT BHU.
