Chandigarh University MBA course is one of the flagship courses offered at the university. Chandigarh University MBA Fees range from INR 4.40 Lakhs to INR 6.80 Lakhs depending upon the specialization opted. HR, Finance, Marketing, International Business and Entrepreneurship, Tourism & Hospitality Management, Applied Finance, and International Relations are some of the major specializations offered at Chandigarh University for the MBA Program.

Candidates with 50% aggregate in Graduation are eligible to apply for Chandigarh University MBA. Admission is done based on the valid scores in the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) or MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ CMAT. The final selection will be based on the entrance exam score, GD & PI conducted by the university.

The highest package offered to an MBA student at CU is INR 28 LPA whereas a median salary of INR 7.62 LPA was offered during Chandigarh University Placements 2023. A total of 1078 MBA students have been selected by 200+ MNCs. 118 MNCs offered a CTC of INR 5 LPA and above.

In my opinion, Chandigarh University is a good option for pursuing an MBA.

MBA from Chandigarh University (2021)

Yes, Chandigarh University is a good option for pursuing an MBA. It changes minimal course fees. Chandigarh University MBA fees are around INR 4.34 Lakhs. University School of Business of CU has industrial partnerships with IBM, ICICI Direct - Center for Finanancial Learning, and Piramal Foundation. So, students get good industry exposure.

It also has a great placement record. Even during COVID, students got placed with good salary packages. During 2021 placement drive, the college received the highest CTC of INR 28 LPA.

Studies MBA (Business Analytics) at IIM Indore,2022

The course structure for MBA at Chandigarh University is not particularly a good subject area. One of my cousins recently graduated from the university with a CGPA of 8.5 yet secured a placement offer at a start-up company with almost INR 1.6 LPA, as an average amount.

While, on the other hand, the Business School of LPU has been accredited by (ACBSP) Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs from the USA.

Having said that, here is a detailed outlook of the prospects it shares,

  1. Students generally acquire various scholarship opportunities that further contribute to making their MBA course quite affordable.
  2. The highest package LPU offered was INR 42 LPA. The average package reported is about INR 21 LPA, alongside a placement percentage touching 90%.
  3. Over 150 companies participated in the placement drive, including Microsoft, Trident, ITC, Asian Paints, HDFC, Federal Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Moody’s Analytics, WNS Global, and more.
  4. It also offers several opportunities to help work on the personality of students by conducting development skill programs, professional enhancement classes, learning workshops or sessions, extensive cultural events, and distinct placement offers.
  5. LPU is renowned mostly for offering real-life exposure by providing numerous training courses, following internship opportunities, kept compulsory for every student.

It is best if you choose LPU over the former for better exposure, prospects, and livelihood.

MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Digital and Telecom Management, Pune (2020)

One of my cousins was pursuing B.Tech at Chandigarh University. Further, he wanted to pursue MBA and appeared for CAT. He scored 81.6 percentile, which was low enough to get into a Tier 1 MBA college. He then sat for SNAP and other management exams, and finally got a call from Symbiosis.

During his graduation, he has figured out few things about the college and changed his decision to pursue MBA from Chandigarh University.

  • Students at Chandigarh University are not as competitive as they are in other top 10 and 20 colleges.
  • There are not many things you can expect here. Even if you achieve something, the college administration will advertise it for their benefit.
