IIT Bhubaneswar campus is better. It is situated at the foot of Brunei Hill. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the campus offers a serene environment. Campus facilities are also pretty good. Students are given single rooms.
IIT Hyderabad has moved to its permanent campus. But construction is still going on. Phase 2 of construction is expected to be completed by December 2022.
Both IIT Hyderabad and IIT Bhubaneswar were founded in 2008. The campus of IIT BBS is spread over 936 acres, while the IITH campus is about 576 acres. IIT BBS campus offers a wonderful academic environment away from the hustle of the city as it’s situated at the foothills of Barunei. On the other side, IITH has many skyscrapers and best spacious infrastructure. Being IITs, both the institutes provide all the necessary facilities for the students. In IITH, the student gets a separate room, but at IIT BBS students have to share it during their first year.
The NIRF ranking of 2019 placed IITH (rank - 8) far ahead of IIT BBS (rank - 17). Also, IITH has MoUs with renowned Japanese colleges, so there is a massive trend of going to further studies in Japan. If we see from the angle of other factors like infrastructure, education, placements, and other educational opportunities, IITH is better than IIT Bhubaneswar.
