DTU Software Engineering is a better option. It offers better academics, placements, and a well-developed alumni network. According to the recent highlights of DTU placements, Software Engineering students get placed in reputed companies such as Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, etc. The average package received by the students of this branch is around INR 11 LPA.
DTU has an urban culture, which will help your overall personality development.
Both colleges have nearly identical levels of coding culture and placements, though Delhi is undoubtedly a better location. The reputation of both brands is also very similar. Furthermore, companies rarely distinguish between Software Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering. As a result, placements should not be a concern.
Being in Delhi gives you access to a lot more things for fun, such as malls and movie theaters, but they will obviously cost you a lot of money. Allahabad, on the other hand, is a very inexpensive city.
MNNIT's alumni strength is slightly higher because MNNIT was the first college in India to start CSE. Allahabad is probably the best center in India for coders because it is closer to MNNIT and IIT A, the coding capitals.
The faculty is poor at both institutions, as I know some of my friends who are studying at DTU, and at MNNIT Allahabad, people usually gain more benefits from attending weekend computer club classes than from dedicated professors.
