Should I prefer an IT in the IIIT Allahabad or CSE in the MNIT Jaipur having a rank of 5k?

You should prefer IT at IIIT Allahabad. It has a great IT culture. You will have unlimited opportunities to develop skills in coding, app development, web development, game development, etc. The course structure includes core IT subjects from the first year itself. The coding culture on campus is excellent. Students of IIIT Allahabad dominate popular coding forums such as ACM-ICPC, Codechef, and Spoj.

The recent highlights of IIIT Allahabad show the average and highest CTC to be INR 21.85 LPA and INR 61.65 LPA.

Both colleges are very good but when it comes to IT or CSE, IIIT- Allahabad is the best in that case.

If you look at the academics of the college, the IT culture gives you unlimited opportunities to develop yourself in the field of IT-coding, web development, game development, app development, and a lot more. All the subjects, right from the first semester, are related to IT and are of great importance to you from a career point of view. In this college, they do not have students from other branches and hence no subjects which are of no importance to you. At the same time, you would be forced to study because first-year students have a common syllabus.

There are students from IIIT- Allahabad who have performed amazingly in ACM-ICPC, Spoj, CodeChef, and other online coding sites. Moreover, the placements are also very good. The college ranks eighth in India after the old IITs and above all the NITs.

As far as placements are concerned, the median salary for IIIT Allahabad IT is INR 12.93 lakh, and for NIT Jaipur CSE is INR 6.56 lakh. Bagging a seat in IIIT is a bit difficult because there are just 40 seats in the IT branch while for NIT Jaipur, there are 120 seats available.
