How is Annamalai University for distance education?

One of my friends opted for an MBA in financial management in the month of Jan 2010. The 1st year fees were around Rs. 13500. He received the study material from the study centre after paying all the charges. 

After a week or two, he received the acceptance letter from the university and a letter notifying the time and the venue to attend the mandatory classes. A month later, the classes began and continued for 4 days from Thursday to Sunday. Exams were held in May at Oxford College near Chamarajpet. He received a letter to pay the 2nd year fees of around Rs. 12100 in June.

My friend was notified to attend the mandatory classes in October and December. An SMS facility is available for the students to raise a query through a message to the university. 

Following are his experience regarding the assignments of all 8 subjects: 

• The assignment was about more than 20 pages for each subject and 2 assignments were given per subject and it was to be sent to the university.

• In February, there were classes that were crucial to attend without failing as they were mandatory if you want to sit for the examination. 
• The classes were scheduled very well as it was convenient for working people. 
• The classes began at 3.00 pm in the afternoon and end at 7.30 pm. Saturday and Sunday were full of classes. 
• In these sessions, the teachers gave a summary of the subjects and how to attend the examination.
• They also explained many problems in accounts and statistics in the class. 

If you have to do your PG, then Annamalai University is the best option. There are various courses like MBA all the specializations, B.Sc, B.Com, BBM, M.Com, and many other diploma courses are also available.
