How is IFMR Chennai for HR?

asFor an HR specialization, IFMR Chennai isn’t a good option. The placement opportunities are limited. The ROI isn’t worth the investment. 

HR students mostly get placed in IT companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys, etc. According to the last few years’ IFMR Chennai placements, the average CTC is INR 8-9 LPA.  

As per the stats, you must avoid going for IFMR if you wish to pursue a career in HR. In the batch of 180, not more than 5 people chose to take HR. Seeing that, my sister backed out from taking up HR specialization in IFMR. You might experience disadvantages in the placement procedures.

• The pictures shown by the college are all marketing strategies implemented by the Admissions Committee for attracting you. You will know the truth if you look at the data of the last 5 years.
• The college claims to have 100% placements as their placement record of 2020. 
• It often misinforms about 100% placement as they count the number of offers, one student might get 2 offers and the total count of offers reach the limit of students. 
•  It is better if you choose to study in better colleges such as XISS.
• In the HR domain, the major recruiters are expected from the IT companies such as TCS, Infosys, HCL, etc. The sectors participating are IT, Analytics, E-Commerce, Consulting.

If there is no opportunity better than IFMR then the student can opt for it. The college has tie-ups with major companies that offer live projects for students from HR. The student may also experience post campus recruitment or placement as there are ample opportunities outside.
