Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) was deemed to be a university approved by AICTE. It has been ranked 137 for BTech by NIRF 2020. It is an autonomous institute located at Sangrur, Punjab. SLIET has separate hostels facilities on-campus for boys and girls. 

Boys Hostel -

  • The institute has 9 boys hostels in total. The capacity of each hostel is 235 students.
  • The capacity of the hostels for postgraduate students is 80 students.

Allocation of Hostel - 

  • 5 three-seater boys hostels are allotted to Certificate and Diploma students.
  • 1 three-seater boys hostels are allotted to the first-year degree students.
  • 2 single seater boys hostels are allotted to Pre-final and Final year degree students.
  • 1 hostel is allotted to postgraduate (MTech) students.

 Girls Hostel - 

  • There are 4 girls hostels on campus. The capacity of each hostel is 230 students.
  • The capacity of the hostels for postgraduate students is 81 students.

Hostel Fees-

The hostel fees at the institute range from INR 32,000 to INR 63,500. The total hostel fees for various programs are as follows.

Facilities -

The hostel provides Internet, Indoor sports facilities, Daily Newspapers and weekly magazines, Reading room facilities, Visitor room facilities, Guest rooms for parents and students, TV room, Cafeteria, Geyser, water cooler in each floor, Gym in girls hostel and Library.

The hostel and its community also arrange a variety of activities like hostel nite, sports activities, general meetings, cleanliness camps, Van Mahotsav, quiz or essay writings, poster making, group discussion, social work, or village adoption, and anti-drug campaigns.
