XISS Ranchi is a decent B-School. HR/PM are the best branches. These specializations have great faculty bases and influential alumni networks. The Rural management specialization is also pretty good.

The institute offers good ROI. During XISS Ranchi placements 2022, students received an average CTC of INR 7.19 LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 20.50 LPA. Infosys, Deloitte, TCS, EY, etc. are among the major recruiters that visited the campus drive.

The Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) has developed its prominent identity as a hub of excellence in development interventions, management education, consultancy, and research. It offers a portfolio of research, academic, outreach programs, and social involvement.

Ranking:

XISS has been ranked 76th by NIRF amongst 100 institutes in India 2020.
Ranked 85th out of 284 in India 2019 by India Today.
Ranked 90 for MBA by Outlook 2020.

Admission:

The admissions at XISS are based on a valid score in CAT/XAT/CMAT entrance exam.
In addition to CAT, the university also accepts XAT and CMAT exam scores. CAT entrance exam scores.
Based on the entrance exam scorecard, the students will be shortlisted and further need to appear for admission rounds that include group discussion, writing skill tests, and personal interview.

Faculty:

There are 43 core faculty members and 15 visiting faculty members. The faculty members are well-qualified in their respective fields. Most of the faculty members have MPhil, MBA, Ph.D. degrees.

The Placement Cell helps connect the Organisations with the talent at the Institute. For the final year students, Pre-Placement Talks are conducted before the commencement of placement sessions every year.
The institute also has a “Campus on Wheel” facility for the companies /organizations that are not able to visit the campus for the recruitment process.
More than 83 companies participated in the campus drive among which 48 recruiters were new.
Overall 285 offers were made with the highest salary of INR 14.50 LPA and an average salary of INR 5.31 LPA.
Some of the top recruiters visiting the campus are Adani Group, Allergan India, Asian Paints Ltd., Cholamandalam Finance, Cognizant, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., L&T Finance, and many more.

XISS institute provides good opportunities to MBA students in terms of education quality along with good infrastructure and teaching faculty and placements. The overall placement percentage at the institute for MBA programs is around 90%. Packages offered to MBA students here range from 5 lakh to 15 lakh. Furthermore, 100% of students got internships in 2019.
