Which is a better choice, BITS Pilani or MNNIT Allahabad for Mechanical Engineering?

I can not comment on MNNIT Allahabad Mechanical, but here are some advantages and disadvantages of Mechanical from BITS Pilani-

Advantages

1. BITS Pilani is a tier-1 engineering college. This means good opportunities for MS or foreign internships, high employee reputation, good peers and good off campus career opportunities.

1. At BITS Pilani, you can easily take up courses from other branches, or prepare for consulting or finance roles. Top consulting and finance companies visit the campus each year for recruitments. 

1. PS-1 and PS-2 are graded internships that you get based on your CGPA. PS-2 brings along high chances of PPOs. The college has strong industry connect, allowing students to intern at ISRO, Mercedes, IGCAR, Tata, Bharat Forge, Honda, TVS, Skoda, Nivea, Reckitt Benckiser, Amazon Operations, etc. without any tests/interview rounds. Other than the core companies, many IT and non core companies also allow Mechanical students from BITS Pilani to intern with them.

1. The alumni network of BITS Pilani is very strong, and the college alumni are at high positions in various brands.

1. The labs and faculty of Pilani are top notch, and you can do some great research projects under the teachers.

Disadvantages

1. The fee at BITS Pilani is very high compared to NITs, despite the student scholarships. The NITs are highly affordable.
