Here are some of the reasons why IIT Bombay is better than IIT Delhi:

  • IIT Bombay has a better campus and is located in a better area, with Powai being a class apart.
  • IIT Bombay has a better reputation for research, with more patents and papers compared to IIT Delhi.
  • IIT Bombay has a better "Employer Reputation" as per QS, with better placement opportunities compared to IIT Delhi.
  • IIT Bombay has no restrictions of any sort, such as dress code, internet restrictions, or LAN bans.
  • IIT Bombay has a better climate compared to IIT Delhi.
  • IIT Bombay has a financial capital advantage, which provides better opportunities in non-core sectors.
  • IIT Bombay has a few BS programs, such as BS Economics/Mathematics/Chemistry, which are not available at IIT Delhi.
  • IIT Delhi has redundant BTech programs, such as BTech Textile and BTech BioTech, which lead to non-core jobs and corporate life.
  • IIT Bombay attracts famous personalities more often, providing exposure to students.
