NIT Mizoram is one of the top 31 NITs in India. It was ranked in the 90th position for Engineering courses in 2019. On the other hand, MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) is another most sought university that offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Engineering.

Choosing among the two can be made easy by comparing a few of the factors including – Fee structure, facilities, scholarships, and placements, etc.

Admission Process:

NIT Mizoram-

  • B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D. are the courses offered by the institutes. The admission is through JEE Main, GATE scores.
  • The course fee for BTech and MTech program is INR 1.36 lakhs per annum and INR 82,500 per annum.

MSRIT-

  • It offers B.E/ B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, MBA, MCA programs.
  • KCET/ COMEDK, GATE, PGCET Karnataka, MAT are the accepted exams for admission to various courses at the institute.
  • The course fee for different courses ranges from INR 66,806 to INR 1.29 lakhs.

Placements:

In terms of placements, MSRIT is slightly better as compared to NIT Mizoram with a 95% placement average.

MSRIT– Apart from notable placement rate, the institute is also known for its other facilities.

  • This includes separate hostels for Girls and Boys, a vast library with adequate material for reference, data centers with good internet speed, and a gymnasium.
  • The institute also provides varied scholarships in the form of fee concession, defense scholarship, alumni scholarship, post-matric scholarship.

NIT Mizoram

  • The institute consists of 5 hostels, training centers, a placement cell, a vast library, and gymnasium facilities for students.
  • Scholarships are offered based on eligibility enlisted under the NSP portal.

Lastly, both the institutes have well-qualified faculties with years of experience. This is a general comparison between the two colleges. As no course is specified it is difficult to decide which institute is better. For choosing between the two, you should compare them based on the course you want to pursue and choose the one with the better program.
