Nirma University is a private university, recognized and approved by UGC, AIU, and has been accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC. Admissions to the college are open through both offline and online modes. The college offers B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering as a four-year full-time course at a fee of Rs7.24 Lakhs for the full period.

Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU) is a state university, is recognized by UGC, affiliated to the AICTE, and has been accredited grade ‘B++’ by NAAC. The institute accepts applications through both online and offline mode. The college provides B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering as a full-time four-year course at a fee of Rs 6.08 lakhs for the full period of study.

Admission Procedure

Nirma University:

  • The prerequisite for seeking admission to Mechanical Engineering is scoring 55% and more in 10+2 examinations (PCM).
  • Further, students are shortlisted on the basis of JEE Main or GUJCET scores.

Both colleges are identical on most fronts, however, Nirma University would be a better preference between the two. Nirma University has a higher ranking in the country for engineering as compared to DDU. The college also has a larger and far superior campus with better facilities than DDU. However, DDU has lower fees and a similar placement rate and average package.
