Yes, you get your migration certificate after the completion of your degree. But colleges don’t provide you with it. Right after completion, colleges only give you your:

  • Character Certificate
  • Provisional Certificate

The final degree certificate is handed over after around 1-2 years.

To get your Migration Certificate, you are required to fill out a form. This form can be obtained from your college or from V.C. Office. Get it attested by your college and submit it to the examination department of Delhi University.

Duration: 1 week

Fees: INR 500

Note- students at the South campus are to apply for a migration certificate at the D.U’s examination department in the South campus. The rest have to apply at the examination dept. at the V.C office on the North campus.

You will receive the migration certificate from Delhi University after the completion of your degree. It is required only if you are taking admission to some other university other than DU.

Make sure that you apply for it separately as the college will only give Provisional and Character certificates. Fill up the Migration Certificate form available at VC Office. Visit your respective college, pay the requisite fee and get it verified.

Submit a self-attested copy of the fee receipt along with Provisional certificate and Migration certificate at either North or South Campus (depending on your location of college).
