Is there any ragging at Ravenshaw University?

Ragging is strictly prohibited at Ravenshaw University and there are rules and punishments against ragging. 

Although ragging is completely banned in this university, there can still be some cases of light ragging inside the hostels. At most, you will be asked to give an introduction. After a few days all the seniors will be your friends. 

However, there are several other problems in the hostels besides ragging. As the rooms and the surroundings are very dirty you might even fall sick or get in contact with some severe diseases by staying at these hostels. 

It would be much better if you can take a room or PG for rent and start living there instead of staying in the hostels. There are various rooms available at Chhatra Bajar or Ranihat starting from 4000 per month and the size of these rooms will be around 500 sq ft depending upon the budget.
