Civil engineering is a more popular course than production engineering and has more scope. As for the colleges, NIT Agartala is an old NIT with a large alumni base compared to NIT Arunachal Pradesh. According to the NIRF Ranking of 2020, NIT Agartala and NIT Arunachal Pradesh are ranked in 75 and 200 in the engineering category.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh(Civil Engineering):

Admission-

  • Admission to the BTech Civil Engineering is based on the performance of the students in JEE Main.

  • The prerequisite for admission is 10+2.

  • The closing cut-off of home state and other states for Civil Engineering in 2019 was 201859 and 40346 respectively.

  • The first year fee at this college is 2.2 Lakhs. However, students get scholarships and fee waivers.

Placements- The college also has a good placement rate with several students placed in the topmost companies.

  • The college also ensures good scholarship and fee waiver programs. The first year fee for this course is 1.48 lakhs.

Civil is a core engineering branch whereas Production Engineering is a specialization under Mechanical Engineering that’s why the former has wider scope in higher studies as well as in placements.
