Well, it depends upon your field of interest. If your interest strongly lies in CSE, then you should go for CSE Jadavpur. It's one of the best universities in West Bengal and holds an excellent placement record with 100% placement in the CSE department. The average package was around 19.96 LPA for the CSE department in the academic session 2019-2020. Being an old university, it has a vast alumni network. Many companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Siemens, etc. visit the college for campus recruitment and internship offers. Coming to academics, it has highly qualified and experienced faculties and well-furnished labs with updated systems. The college offers a completely ragging free environment, and wide emphasis is given on extracurricular activities like sports and various cultural and technical events.

But if you are open to any branch then you can go for electrical in IIT Bhubaneswar. As per the NIRF ranking, this college is ranked under the top 20 best engineering colleges in India. Being an IIT, a good number of core companies, as well as top IT and software-based companies, visit the college for campus recruitment and internship offers. Though it’s comparatively lesser than Jadavpur, you can expect a fast growth rate in placement statistics because of its brand value.
