M.Mgt (MBA) from Shailesh J Mehta School Of Management, IIT Bombay (2018)

SJMSOM, IIT Bombay is better than IIM Indore for a PGP. It has a compact batch size and an excellent industry interface. There are around 110 students per batch, so everyone gets the required attention from the faculty.

IIT Bombay MBA placements of 2022 had an average CTC of around INR 25.9 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 49 LPA.

Other than these, you will get the option to network with B.Tech people who holds the top 100 ranks in JEE. IIT Bombay has a business incubator that offers excellent live projects. You will also get the location advantages of Mumbai.

IIT Bombay can be a good choice for an MBA after colleges like SP Jain. The batch size is small with 110 students maximum. Following are some of the more reasons to choose IIT Bombay:

  • IIT B has a great reputation with good companies. You will find that the most sought-after companies like Goldman Sachs, Mondelez, Procter & Gamble, or Colgate Palmolive recruit from here.
  • You can easily get recruited, with better pay if you have an extensive profile. The placement pattern follows a generic curve only and most of the crowd gets the average package.
  • Some of the other factors like the minimum percentile of selection are 98.5%, infrastructure, networking opportunities with top 100 B.Tech students, organizers of Mood-I or E-summit, and moderators of the Business incubator of IIT B are more than what you'd need for your professional career. Even the ROI is better because of the low fee etc.

Even so, IIM Indore is an old IIM and that's what matters to most of the students who think of joining, so you may proceed considering what you'd like to do with your time and space.
