Is it very tough to get into IPM IIM Indore for an average student?
With a little bit of effort, average students can get into IPM IIM Indore. If you have a flair for Mathematics and English and you have prepared well for the entrance, you should be able to clear the entrance examination.
The WAT and PI round differentiates the students who are good at solving MCQs from those who have good conceptual clarity, knowledge, and presence of mind. If you have these qualities, it won’t be that difficult to get admission to IIM Indore IPM program.

The definition of being an average student is different for students.
Even if you have not aced your JEE or JEE Mains exams but are proficient in mathematics and English then you are fully prepared for IPM. The difference in ratio between the selected students to the number of applicants sums up to 0.6 percent. There are around 19000 applicants who appear for the exams impulsively or try their luck without any serious preparations.
Whether you will clear the first round of IPMAT or not depends on your skills in Mathematics and English.
The WAT and the Interview round take place subsequently for the students who have cleared their IPM. This round acts as a yardstick and is conducted to differentiate between the candidates who are skilled at MCQ-based exams and the ones who possess conceptual clarity, presence of mind, knowledge, and passionately will to be a part of IPM.
The above criteria are not too difficult to be found in an average student. Thus, it would not be tough to get into IPM IIM Indore for an average student. Confidence and good preparation will be enough to crack the interview and WAT.
