Studied at St. Columba's School

Students begin their preparation only a month before the test, following their board exams. The paper is divided into two sections: quantitative and verbal ability. The math section includes questions up to the class 12 level as well as some commercial mathematics. The quantitative section also includes some logical reasoning questions.

English is very simple, especially for people who regularly read newspapers and books. If you are not one of them, you should read passages and brush up on your vocabulary.

You can pass IPM if you have a firm grasp of those topics. Study hard for your boards because many Quant topics will be covered in your exams. Furthermore, get a good 12th grade to keep your options open.

IPM is a one-of-a-kind course so if you are looking forward to it, then maintaining a passive approach would be a good idea.

  • Keep reading newspapers and try to be up to date with the market scenarios.
  • The best preparation for the exam takes place three months before it begins. You can follow a timetable or follow a pattern and also keep an eye on the previous years’ question papers. This will help you in understanding how the questions are usually set.
  • Attempt the difficult questions and keep studying the other sections. Go with the flow so that you do not end up overdoing things.

The paper has two sections: Quant and Verbal. The Quant section consists of questions pertaining to profit, loss, time, work, distance, etc. It also includes higher maths such as matrices, logs, sets, etc.

The Verbal section contains questions related to comprehensions, essays, etc. Start to prepare as early as possible. Some of the questions in your Quant will be from your board exams so if you have a good grip on the topics you will be able to crack the IPM exams with ease. Learning how to manage time will also go a long way in cracking the exams.
