If you are interested in MS, it is advised that you pursue an MS rather than an MBA at this time. This is due to the fact that you may have the opportunity to pursue an MBA later on, but you may have limited opportunities to pursue an MS later on. Furthermore, an MS may expose you to new and interesting aspects of your field, which may lead to additional academic or professional opportunities.
In terms of new IIMs, it is worth noting that, while institutions in other parts of the world must prove their worth over time, these new IIMs (Ranchi, Rohtak, Raipur, Udaipur, Trichy & Kashipur) may be seen as inheriting the prestige of their predecessors.
