If you are considering pursuing a Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) program offered by JNTUH, you may want to explore some other options before making a decision. Here are some reasons why:

  • Startup Opportunities: Instead of investing your time and money in the MSIT program, you can explore startup opportunities. You can work on a business idea, start a company, or join a startup to gain hands-on experience and learn valuable skills.
  • Learning Technologies: You can also focus on learning technologies that are in high demand in the industry. There are various online courses and certification programs available that can help you acquire new skills and improve your knowledge in the field of information technology.
  • Reputation of the Program: The MSIT program offered by JNTUH may not have a good reputation in the industry. Employers may not value the degree as much as they value degrees from other reputed institutions. This may make it difficult for you to find a job or advance in your career.
  • Duration of the Program: The MSIT program is a two-year program, and you may not want to invest two years in a program that may not provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in your career.
  • Cost of the Program: Pursuing the MSIT program can be expensive, and you may not want to spend a lot of money on a program that may not be worth it in the end.

While it is important to have a degree to advance in your career, it is equally important to make sure that the degree is from a reputable institution and provides you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in your field. Therefore, before investing your time and money in the MSIT program offered by JNTUH, you may want to explore other options and evaluate the program's reputation, duration, and cost.

If you are a B.Tech graduate and have a good job offer in hand, then you must not pursue this course. Although, if you are not confident enough regarding the job and are willing to pay a hefty amount for the program then this program will help you get into the IT industry.

You can definitely use the JNTUH brand to get yourself some placement offers. You'll also discover in the process, how MSIT is a money-making program. It has a regressive syllabus and outdated courses which will definitely not let you shine amidst others.

MSIT as an institute is best suited for those who do not need a guide because they are bright enough to succeed on their own. MSIT will offer you the following:

  • There will be an internet connection with good bandwidth.
  • You will have access to 'Learn by Doing" tutorials.
  • You might notice your professors, however, they themselves are not sure about the basics of computer science.

Work experience is what counts in any field and at the end of the day your profile, academic scores, etc will have no relation with the position you'll get in a good company. Do not waste the two precious years of your time in such a program and rather get yourself a good job.

If you still want to go for it then read these disadvantages as well:

  • You will not be able to apply for a Ph.D. with an MSIT degree.
  • If you pay the total sum and change your mind the next day itself. Remember, you won't get a refund.
  • The timetable will be very hectic and you will have to attend classes from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Please understand that even though you will put in your best efforts, you might have to wait for a chance to work with service-based companies only.
