DT
Deepak Tiwari Posted On : February 20th, 2023
MMS from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies

Yes, it’s quite possible for a fresher to land a package of 14 LPA or more. In fact, my sister's batch had many freshers that were offered the best profiles and highest packages. Your lack of work experience should not hinder your performance and talents. As a fresher you should

  • Be extremely confident while answering any question
  • Have a great extracurricular background
  • Have clarity of goals and enough skills and knowledge to pursue them
  • Not key your lack of experience take a toll on you

With the right mindset and performance even a fresher can get a good package at JBIMS.

What is the stipend paid to a PhD in clinical psychology student from NIMHANS?

Sabeer Chalana Posted On : October 3rd, 2023

Usually, the stipend paid to a PhD in Clinical Psychology student (external category) at MIMHANS is around INR 31,000 for the first two years and INR 35,000 for the remaining 3 years.

The only drawback is that students who have already done an MPhil will get only an institute fellowship for 3 years and they will be considered as SRFs with a salary of INR 28,000. These students get to stay in the hostel by paying a monthly rent of INR 250 for institute fellows and an HRA amount for external fellows.

What is the salary of an IIM Ahmedabad pass out after 10 years?

JA
Jeena Agarwal Posted On : December 22nd, 2022
Works at 3M India (company)

There are numerous possible answers to this question. People can start well, start poorly but do well in the long run, or get extremely lucky with the company they choose. For example, a person who graduates with the average salary of the batch is likely to be earning 4.5-5X their first-year package after ten years if they perform consistently and do not deviate from their growth path in any way. The ratios will obviously differ if you start at a lower or higher salary than the average.

Furthermore, switching companies for faster growth would provide you with a package similar to what a reasonably successful person who stays with the same company may receive.

MBBS Medicine, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry (2022)

A Neurosurgeon earns quite well. If you join as an Assistant Professor, the salary will range from 1-1.2 lakh per month. Whereas a Professor gets around 1.94 lakh per month.

When the 7th commission recommendations are implemented, there will be a considerable hike in the salary of about INR 10,000 to INR 20,000.

Pay/ Allowance Professor Additional Professor Associate Professor Assistant Professor
Grand Total INR 1,94,235 INR 1,68,785 INR 1,58,610 INR 1,20,660
Annual Figure INR 23,30,820 INR 20,25,420 INR 19,033,20 INR 14,47,920

These pay structures are applicable to everybody irrespective of his/her specialty. The average salary for a Consultant Neurosurgeon is INR 34,46,424 per year in India, which is 8% lower than the average NIMHANS salary of INR 37,54,023 per year for this job.

Which one is better if I like both of them equally, 31 LPA in a big product-based company or IIM Lucknow?

DP
Dev Patel Posted On : January 9th, 2023
PGP-ABM from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (2019)

Many people in fact almost everyone going to say that a package of INR 31 LPA is a more glittering option than MBA at IIM Lucknow. However, I beg to differ. My opinion is based on the thinking that no matter how much you earn, an MBA is always a game changer. This is because you learn a lot in a classroom full of masterminds and the best professors than you do at work. Although you might be able to apply those skills only after a long time that’s the case with MBA, it does not give you short-term benefits, it provides long-term benefits. It ends up being the reason for your success and excellence.

MBA is not a specialization but rather a general course. It teaches everything in finance, accounting, and marketing. A successful leader requires basic knowledge of anything and everything which is possible through an MBA only. It will open gates for you to carbon black manufacturers, Steel manufacturers, and so on. You can plan your career after your MBA and climb the ladder slowly but swiftly. From a tech company to a core company to a banking sector, you can switch your posts depending on your interests.

Another major advantage of pursuing an MBA is making some great friends that will become great leaders and broaden your networks.

What is the highest salary of NIT Silchar this year?

SG
Sudipta Ghose Posted On : August 24th, 2023
B.Tech from National Institute of Technology Silchar (2020)

First of all, it's highly illogical to evaluate colleges based on the highest package they offer because it has nothing to do with your individual placements. Rather you can refer to the average or median package while comparing colleges.

In 2022, NIT Silchar was visited by more than 94 recruiters including Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Arcesium, Intuit, etc. In all, 397 students were placed with 537 placement offers. The highest salary offered was INR 44 LPA & the average salary stood at INR 13.58 LPA.

Here is a table comprising company-specific packages provided to the students during the NIT Silchar placements in 2022:

Company

Students placed

Package Offered

Amazon

3

INR 44 LPA

Microsoft

2

INR 41.86 LPA

Adobe

1

INR 40.93 LPA

Arcesium India

2

INR 36 LPA

Intuit

NA

INR 32.82 LPA

Swiggy

9

INR 31.84 LPA

From the above table it can be inferred that during NIT Silchar placements 2022, the highest salary of INR 44 LPA was offered by Amazon followed by Microsoft.

I got admission in JNTUH through GATE. Can I get stipend?

Satyam Purwar Posted On : August 8th, 2023

Yes, you will get a stipend for securing an admission into JNTUH through GATE.  MHRD offers a stipend to all the students who crack the GATE exam for their M.Tech. and get admission into an AICTE recognized institution.

Regular M.Tech students get a stipend during both years of their degree. A stipend is also offered to final year students of integrated dual degree programs. You can avail this stipend only if you are not entitled to any financial assistance from some other organization. Therefore, sponsored category candidates and candidates who are in receipt of state government scholarships are not eligible for it.

If you fulfill these requirements, you are eligible for a stipend as you got a seat at JNTUH for your M.Tech after qualifying the GATE exam.
