- It is an older IIM and has a huge alumni base spread across industries and geographies. Hence it has better recognition in the industry.
- IIM Lucknow has a smaller batch size compared to IIM Indore. Due to the small batch size, it’s easier for the institute to offer better salary packages and profiles to students.
- IIM Lucknow placements are better compared to IIM Indore. The 2022 placement drive of IIM I ended with an average CTC of INR 31 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 61 LPA.

What is the difference between PGP at Mumbai-IIM Indore and PGP at IIM Indore? Which one is better?
If we are to compare PGP at IIM Indore Mumbai and PGP at IIM Indore then the former is without a doubt better.
- Batch Size: IIM Indore Mumbai has a batch size of 65-70 students whereas that of IIM Indore is 450 and above. So, you will be among competitive peers.
- Better Location: Mumbai is known to be the financial capital of India. major corporates are situated here. Therefore, various esteemed companies visit the Mumbai IIM Indore campus for recruitment purposes. The corporates hesitate to visit the Indore campus as it is a bit farther. Hence, the students at the Mumbai IIM campus have leverage over this matter.
- Class Schedule: Lectures at the Mumbai campus are held at a fixed time that is 9:15 AM to 4:15 PM. No lectures are held after that time. Whereas at the IIM Indore campus the lectures are not held at any particular timings.
At the Mumbai-IIM Indore campus, guest lectures and training sessions are held by influential business leaders on a regular basis. This is not found at the IIM Indore campus. Moreover, at Mumbai-IIM the campus is fully air-conditioned and has proper Wi-Fi systems.
When is the best time to start the preparation of IPM IIM Indore?
Students begin their preparation only a month before the test, following their board exams. The paper is divided into two sections: quantitative and verbal ability. The math section includes questions up to the class 12 level as well as some commercial mathematics. The quantitative section also includes some logical reasoning questions.
English is very simple, especially for people who regularly read newspapers and books. If you are not one of them, you should read passages and brush up on your vocabulary.

IIM Indore offers excellent academics, and the faculties of the institute are best in the field. The IIM brand name certainly offers some perks in terms of getting placements, projects, and interships.
How does IIM Indore and IIM Kozhikode compare head to head on placements?
IIM Indore and IIM Kozhikode are very similar to each other in most aspects, including placements.
But the main issue is IIM Indore’s huge batch size. IIM Indore admits almost double the MBA students as compared to IIM Kozhikode. This leads to immense competition among its students, even though Indore has an advantage over Kozhikode in terms of its recruiter numbers and profiles.
Apart from placements, a huge student intake places a lot of burden on the infrastructure and faculty at IIM Indore. The faculty to students ratio is better at IIM Kozhikode. But IIM Indore enjoys great connectivity, which IIM Kozhikode does not.
Both of them are highly prestigious business schools in India, and you shouldn’t just consider placements while choosing between them. Moreover, the market conditions can hugely affect the placements of a college for a certain year. Its impact may differ from one college to another.
How can I get admission in IIM Indore for a BBA? What is its eligibility criteria? What is its cutoff?
IIM Indore conducts an entrance exam called IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) each year for its integrated management program. It is a combination of BBA and MBA.
You have to appear for the exam after your 12th. It is an aptitude test and will test your application skills in quant, verbal and logical reasoning. For applying you need to have a minimum of 60 percentile in 10th and 12th examinations.
The cutoff depends on the difficulty level of the exam. The section-wise cut-offs are released by the institute. You need to clear the section-wise cutoffs too in order to be selected.
Should I attend MDI Gurgaon or IIM Indore?
Well, these two institutes cannot be positioned to compare with each other. However, the only benefit seen in the case of IIM Indore is that it will assist in accessing the alumni network of PAN India. This does not apply to MDI Gurgaon students. This is beneficial for the students who want to start their individual businesses and switch jobs to a higher profile in later days.

The campus life at IIM Indore is awesome and the infrastructure is unparalleled. The institute has great competition and diversity. You will develop a good analytical and broader viewpoint. One of my friends opted for IIM Indore and he was happy with his decision.
Which is better, a BBA MBA from IIM Indore or a BA LLB from NLSIU?
This is entirely a matter of your choice or preference. Both these courses have a very different offering from each other in terms of learning. One is a double bachelor (BA LLB) and the other is a Bachelor's + Master’s degree (BBA-MBA). You can choose one or the other on the basis of your interest. If you are someone who wants to pursue a career in law and be a lawyer, you should pick the course from NLSIU, and if the Management and business side of things is where your interests lie, the clear choice is IIM Indore.
If placements are what concern you, IIM Indore is the winner as compared to NLSIU. IIM Indore’s Integrated Programme in Management has an average pay package of about 20 lakhs per annum which is way more than NLSIU’s median at 12 lakhs per annum for a BA LLB graduate. Along with this, IIM Indore also offers opportunities to be placed abroad, and those who get placed abroad can get a package up to 90 LPA, on the other hand, NLSIU doesn’t have much scope for placements abroad and the few that take place don’t garner more than a 20L PA package.
Can I leave the IPM programme from IIM Indore or IIM Rohtak after 3 years? If yes, what degree do I get and from which institution?
When you leave IIM Indore after three years, you will get a Bachelor of Arts degree in foundations in management.
IPM students definitely have the option of leaving the program after 3 years for any reason cited. Most quit to appear for CAT and to go to higher ranked B-schools in the country.
If you are planning to quit, you need to clear the basic passing requirements for IPM. This includes the social internship.
