While choosing between MICA, IRMA, and XIMB, it's important to keep in mind that these institutions are very different from each other. They have different missions, visions, and outcomes. While XIMB is a general management institute, MICA and IRMA are focused on their respective domains.
If you're someone who is primarily driven by CTC and ROI, then it's important to think twice before opting for these niche programs based on general parameters. You might end up in something that you might not enjoy.
IRMA is the pioneer of rural management, with the aim of bringing about a change in the rural sector of the country through professional management. As a participant in the program, you'll learn all the principles of general management, along with social and liberal arts subjects. One of the unique features of IRMA is their three internship segments, which provide a different perspective on rural realities and society through a different lens.
By choosing IRMA, you can expect to have a rewarding career afterwards. However, keep in mind that the program is geared towards those who have a genuine interest in rural management and development. It's important to do your research and self-reflection to see if this program is the right fit for you.
All the institutes you mentioned are quite different from each other and have no similar goals, visions, or outcomes. XIMB is a General Management institute while MICA and IRMA focus solely on a specific domain.
The most common evaluating criteria of aspirants for a B School are its ROI and Placements. Choosing a specific niche program might limit your opportunities and choosing it mainly because of its general parameters like ROI and Parameters might prove wrong in the long run.
IRMA is well known for its specialization in rural management, and its primary goal is to bring about a change in the rural sector of the country through professional management. As a student, you will acquire knowledge of the principles of general management, and certain social and liberal arts subjects.
The main highlight of the institute is its three internship segments. Through this program, you will get to witness rural realities and society through a different lens, and pave your way to an excellent career.
First of all, no college or university can guarantee your placements. There is a placement cell in the college that takes care of placements, but Global MBA students cannot get decent placements by depending on the placement team.
Any college can only provide you with a degree and tag. To get a decent job you have to search on your own. Investing so much in Global MBA is not a good idea. Also, ROI is an important factor, which is why it is suggested that you do not invest in it.

It is not worth taking admission to Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB) for a global MBA. It will only waste your money.
MBF (Master's in Business Finance) is a course under the Xavier School of Commerce (XSC). It is important to note that XIMB and XSC are separate schools coming under the umbrella of Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XU). Some key highlights related to this course are
The course is a good option for the qualitative development of an individual, and details regarding placements and internships can be checked from the official website.

In terms of location, SCMHRD is one step ahead of XIMB because the former is closer to Mumbai, the financial capital of India.
In spite of both institutes having an equally strong alumni network but as HR is the strong point of SCMHRD, it edges out XIMB in this regard as well. Marketing is also very strong in SCMHRD.
So, my senior recommended SCMHRD. Consulting is the forte of XIMB. However, both colleges are unique in their own ways.
Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar is one of the most popular business schools in India. XIMB has a total strength of 374 students in Business Management including all the domains that participated in the recruitment process.
Since it is one of the oldest institutes, it offers 100% placement to all the students pursuing MBA. Many MNCs like Accenture, HDFC, Blue star, CBC, and many others participate in the placement drive. This year initially 53 recruiters participated and in the next session 97. These brands provide ample opportunities to all the students and get their placements in prestigious companies.
You can have a glance at the placement and highest packages that are being offered to the students from the academic batch of 2019 - 2021:
From the above packages being offered by the companies, we can infer that the placements have been gradually increased to 8 percent, which is a very positive sign for the growth of the institute in terms of placements.
The following answer is based on the interview experience of my friend who had applied for MBA-HRM and was fortunate enough to get a call from XIMB. Her WAT topic was ‘Should migration be allowed in services?’
The questions asked were
At this point, the interviewers were pretty impressed as almost all the questions were answered correctly and confidently by him. So the conclusion I drew from this experience was that the interviewers are on the lookout for candidates that have excellent thinking capabilities and excellent academics are not that necessary.
Xavier Institute of Management, also known as XIMB, is a prestigious B-school in India. Here's what you need to know about the availability of management quota seats at XIMB:
background or affiliations.
A good percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT) or Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) can greatly increase your chances of being admitted to the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB). These standardized tests are used as a measure of a candidate's aptitude and potential for success in a management program, and a high score can compensate for a lower academic record.
However, it is important to note that while a high CAT or XAT score can improve your chances of being admitted to XIMB, it does not guarantee admission. Other factors such as work experience, essays, and personal interviews are also considered in the admissions process. Additionally, it is also important to consider other factors like the program offerings, campus culture, and location when applying for an MBA program.
If you're unable to secure a spot at XIMB, there are other colleges with strong MBA programs that may be a good fit for you. These schools may also place more weight on other factors such as work experience, academics, and essays. It is important to research different colleges and their MBA programs, and carefully consider which one is the best fit for you.
It is also important to note that the MBA program is not only about the college's reputation, it's also about what you want to achieve in your career. So, it is important to think about your career goals before finalizing any college.
