What questions should I expect at an IIM Ahmedabad interview?
There is no such set template for the questions asked during IIM Ahmedabad interview. The question pattern will depend a lot on your profile.
If you have prior work experience, most of the questions will be regarding your experience in the corporate world. Through these questions, they aim to test your technical knowledge. If you are a fresher, there will be more questions on the subjects that you studied at graduation.
The questions asked in the interview will depend a lot on which way you steer the interview. The panel picks up on the keywords that you use while speaking and you can expect questions regarding those. You can expect questions regarding your hobbies, and interests as well.
Is it worth joining IIM Nagpur for 10 Lakhs, considering that IIM Ahmedabad will be mentoring it initially?
If you don’t have a better option and can’t wait for a year more, it’s best to go for IIM Nagpur. Although it’s not among the top IIMs, it will not disappoint you. The main reasons for the same are:

Firstly, IIM Nagpur is mentored by IIM Ahmedabad. So you will get the chance to be taught by IIMA faculty in the same methodology.

IIM Nagpur is located in a well-connected city so has all the basic facilities like connectivity, a local support system, local industry, and safety.

The placements at IIM Nagpur are also good considering the students have been trained by IIMA faculty.
If you are tight on budget then pursuing MBA from IIM Nagpur is not a bad choice.
Is it worth joining the IIM Ahmedabad FABM programme after spending Rs. 21 lakhs?
IIM-A's PGP-FABM is a two-year full-time program that covers allied areas such as agriculture, food processing, commodities and rural development sector, and rural infrastructure. The fees for the batch 2021-2023 are 28 lakhs.
- One of my friends studying at IIM Ahmedabad said that a certificate doesn’t mean you will get a good placement offer.
- If you are taking a loan then be careful as your placement is not certain. Getting a collateral-free loan would be easy but paying it off will be a real task.
- The most important thing here is your financial goals and if getting a certificate from the IIMA PGP-FABM program fits into it then go ahead.
- As the fees for this program are too high, I’d say think about it and only go for it if you are highly interested in this field of study.
However, if you are still dicey about whether to opt for this program or not I would suggest you to invest in attending a course conducted by Pavan Bhattad’s Brainival. It is a 2-day workshop in which he discusses speed reading, mind mapping, memory techniques, and ideas generation which was initially conducted in Pune.
Is IIM Ahmedabad executive Programme worth 17 lacs any good?
The course fee for PGPX at IIM Allahabad is not 17 Lacs but 28 Lacs including taxes. I am assuming by worth you mean the ROI of the program. In that case, I would like to tell you that the average package for PGPX graduates is about 28 lakhs.
Apart from salary packages, there are other advantages of pursuing this course. The people who opt for PGPX Programme have at least an experience of 5 years and maximum 7-8 years. They join the PGPX program with a long-term objective of changing career tracks into mid- or senior-level management roles. So, the peer learning opportunities are great for this program.
PGPX-IIMA is considered among the top executive MBA programs not just in Asia, but across the world. So, it surely is worth it.
I can’t sleep less than 7 hours a day. How can I cope with my studies at IIM Ahmedabad?

If I do my graduation from IGNOU, will there be any difference in chances of getting admission to IIM Ahmedabad?
No, there won’t be any difference in chances. CAT accepts IGNOU degrees. So, you will be eligible to take CAT. If you score above IIM Ahmedabad cut off and have a decent profile, you can get admission.
IIM Ahmedabad 2018-20 batch had a student who graduated from IGNOU. So, doing graduation from IGNOU won’t limit your chances of admission.
Can I do MBA from IIM Ahmedabad after BSc?
Honestly, anyone with a decent profile can pursue MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. The question is how well you can score in your CAT. Anything below 96 is not accepted.

How much salary do companies offer after studying from IIM Ahmedabad?
According to IIM Ahmedabad's previous year final placement report, the highest salary offered was Rs 55.88 lakh per annum, and the international salary was Rs 1.32 crore per annum. The IIM Ahmedabad placement process for the 2020 academic year was divided into three clusters. A total of 153 companies participated in IIM Ahmedabad's placement drive, offering 182 job roles to students who took part.

The interview took place in a video conferencing room. There were two panelists. It lasted for 20 minutes and to my friend’s surprise, it was more of a conversation rather than an interview. He was mostly asked about his job, his published paper, hobbies, and why MBA.
