What was your best moment at IIM-Ahmedabad? 

Being at a college like IIM Ahmedabad will definitely give you bundles of memories. I remember 3-4 years ago, one of my seniors was looking for internship opportunities during her BCom (H) at Kirori Mal College. 

During this period, she was sending CVs to different professors across all the IIMs. Although, she was desperate to become an intern under one of the marketing professors who taught at IIM Ahmedabad. This professor was very renowned in the marketing domain. She mailed him her CV twice but there was no reply to both of them. 

In her third attempt, she mentioned that she respects the professor’s time and won’t bother him anymore. But she really wanted to know what was missing in her CV. She got a reply this time around. 

The professor pointed out all the things that her CV didn’t include. He mentioned that my senior lacked details about her skill set and didn’t include any piece of evidence for her skills. After that, she decided to make certain changes to her CV and improved her profile. The next time she applied she was ready.

The biggest moment for her at IIM Ahmedabad was studying under this professor not once but twice. She attended the said professor’s class in her second year at IIMA. She got to learn a lot of things about marketing under his mentorship. He was sort of an inspiration for my senior. Each of the moments when she shared marketing insights for his market research was big for her. This professor changed my senior’s life in a way. Learning under his guidance and participating in his class was nothing but sort of life-changing for her. 

Learning from this professor was the best memory for my senior. This was one of the many anecdotes of her IIM journey that she shared with me. You will certainly get to experience such things on your own in IIM Ahmedabad.
