For fee structure without any scholarships, the total cost of B.Tech at LPU is INR 11.20 Lakhs. Other than the tuition fee, the students also have to pay around INR 44,000 as hostel fees. The hostel fee is calculated based on the first year/semester. If all the amount is calculated, students have to pay around a total of INR 15.60 lakhs to pursue BTech at LPU including hostel charges.

The total fee for BTech depends on the student's performance in the LPUNEST exam. The university offers heavy discounts to students with good scores that bring down the total cost by large numbers. Students with exceptional records can expect their entire tuition fee covered by the university. LPU has allocated over INR 100 crores of amount to students as scholarships.

The fee structure at LPU varies according to the course opted. I am a B.Tech student at LPU, so I can shed light upon the fees for my course. 

The B.Tech course fee at LPU (for those who have qualified the LPUNEST) is INR 1.40 lakh per semester. But those who opt for particular CSE specializations have to pay INR 1.70 lakh per semester. The B.Tech Hons. in CSE cost INR 2 lakh per semester.

I have mentioned the course fee for B.Tech at LPU. This does not include the exam fees and hostel expenses. 

The majority of B.Tech classes last for one hour each. However, some courses, particularly those involving coding languages, might be longer, extending to two hours per session.

Most B.Tech classes at LPU begin at 9:00 am.

No, textbooks and other course materials are typically not included in your LPU program fees. You'll be responsible for acquiring them on your own. The good news is that LPU has a well-equipped library with a vast collection of books and resources across various disciplines. You can access these resources and borrow books for free to support your studies. The library also subscribes to a variety of e-books and online databases that you can utilize.

LPU does offer refunds for program withdrawals, but the amount you receive depends on the timing of your request. Here's a breakdown of the policy:

• Within 15 days after the last date of admission (before July 15th, 2024): A processing fee of INR 200 will be deducted. The remaining program fee will be refunded. 
• Between 16th June and 30th June 2024: A 10% deduction from the program fee will be applied only if the vacated seat is filled by a waitlisted applicant. If the seat remains vacant, no refund will be granted.
• Between 1st July and 15th July 2024: A 20% deduction from the program fee will be applied only if the vacated seat is filled by a waitlisted applicant. If the seat remains vacant, no refund will be granted. 
• After 15th July 2024: No refund will be granted for any program fee or other charges.

These numbers vary from year to year, but to provide you with a fair image, around 1000 students, on average, change their branch in B. Tech at LPU.

If seats are available, you can change your branch free of cost, but if you wish to change it for the second time, you need to pay INR 1000 for the same, and the third time, it will be INR 2000, at the same time, you need to restart from the first year of the new branch.
