Among PGDM-FS from K J Somaiya, GIM PGDM, and SIIB, what should I choose?
For a PGDM FS, KJ Somaiya is the best option among these. The institute has a locational advantage since it is situated at the financial hub of the country, i.e. Mumbai. KJ Somaiya placements are great. According to the 2022 interim placement report, the average CTC offered to the students was INR 10.25 LPA, while the highest CTC offered was INR 26.50 LPA.
Between GIM and SIIB, the letter offers better industrial relations and better job roles in campus placements.
How good is the B.Stat course at ISI Kolkata?
ISI Kolkata B.Stat can be an ideal fit for you, if you are interested in Mathematics and Statistics.

There are a number of things one needs to carry to their hostels as a fresher irrespective of whichever IIT they belong to. Some of the most important things are
- All official documents along with the admission letter. Bring extra photographs.
- Every type of clothing like pants, shirts, undergarments, socks, towels, shorts, handkerchiefs, and a cap
- Other basic necessities like mirror, comb, oil, cream, deo, etc.
- Footwear like shoes and slippers
- Electrical extension board
- Laptop
- Sports equipment
- Water boiler if allowed and basic utensils like plates and spoons
- Blanket
- Medicines and snacks like dry fruits.
Make sure to pack all the necessary things as you will be at a new place all alone so the least you can do is come prepared.
How is the scenario for a fresher in PGDISEM, NITIE?
One of my cousins is a recent graduate of NITIE Mumbai, from the PGDISEM, and through him I got to know a little bit about the program. The fact that you are a fresher will not matter much since the batch size is usually very small.
The major upside of the small batch size is that even top consulting firms, including KPMG, PWC, and others, choose recruiting freshers. The batch my cousin was in, had a majority of the freshers, including him.
Having said that, the freshers of his batch were recruited in companies such as Pepsico, Ultratech, Siemens, Asian Paint, PWC, BASF, Tata Steel. My cousin also secured placement in Aditya Birla Retail.
Will I get into NLU Delhi with a score of 74.25 in the AILET 2021?
It basically depends on two factors which are as follows:
- What toppers have scored: A total of 60 seats are available for General candidates at NLU Delhi. You'll need to climb into the top 100. The rankings are determined by how much each person has scored. Top rankers tend to score around 110–120, with 95–105 being the cut-off. Based on previous results, you need at least 95 points to pass the cut-off.
- Your category: If you belong to other minority categories, then the cut-off will be lower for SC, ST, OBC, Kashmiri migrants, and PWDs. You will be easily admitted.
However, the cut-off range mostly depends on the marks scored by the toppers.
How good is M.Tech computer science at Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata?
ISI Kolkata is a great option for pursuing an M.Tech in Computer Science. You will have great opportunities in Data Science and R&D. If you plan on doing a Ph.D. in Cryptography, this is the best course within India.
