Can I expect final admission in MBA marketing with waiting list 20 in TAPMI?

VJ
Vrishank Jain Posted On : May 17th, 2023
PGDM Post Graduate Diploma in Management, T. A. Pai Management Institute (2019)

If you are waitlisted at 20 in the first waitlist, there is a fair chance that you can convert it in the upcoming waitlists. As the waitlist of new and babyIIMs moves, the speed at which the waitlist of colleges that comes below IIM in rankings, like TAPMI, is pretty faster, so it is likely that you will get a call from TAPMI. The waitlist for TAPMI easily moves from 400 - 600, so considering the waitlist of 20, there is a high chance that you will get a call from the college.

Can i take admission for m.com in department of commerce without entrance exam or in dse in 2024

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : December 12th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

The Department of Commerce (DU) intakes students for its MCom. course on the basis of CUET(PG) from academic year 2023-24 onwards. To get an admission, you’ll have to fulfill the eligibility criteria, and give the CUET (PG) for MCom. You can visit the official website of CUET for the detailed exam syllabus.

On the other hand, the Delhi School of Economics does not offer an MCom. degree. Instead, you can opt for the MA (Economics) program. The admissions for the same are done through merit (only for DU students) and CUET PG. Your score in the past qualifying exam will also be considered during the selection process.

What's your take on the withdrawal of IIM Rohtak from CAP?

AJ
Anu Jain Posted On : January 10th, 2023
Lives in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India

I think it is a good tactical decision for IIM Rohtak to improve its worth and image among the second-generation IIMs.

Despite being younger than IIM Shillong it is considered among the second-generation IIMs because it has been a part of CAP. If you look at the current situation, IIM Shillong functions from a temporary campus and yet has its own WAT-PI process. On the other hand, IIM Rohtak has its own permanent campus but lacks its own WAT-PI process. Now its withdrawal from CAP will enable it to stand out from the second-generation IIMs.

From the student's perspective, this strategy has increased their chances of getting selected as now if they fail to perform well in CAP, they can rely on Rohtak's own WAT-PI process and vice-versa.

Can I get admission in Narsee Monjee for a BAF with 93%?

AD
Anuraag Das Posted On : May 1st, 2023
Studied at MBA from NMIMS (2020)

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is a well-known and prestigious institute in India offering various undergraduate programs, including the Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BAF) program. Admission to the BAF program at NMIMS is based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's academic performance, entrance exam score, and other criteria.

Based on the previous year's cutoff, a score of 93% in the qualifying examination is considered a good score for admission to the BAF program at NMIMS. However, it is important to note that the cutoff may vary from year to year based on various factors such as the number of applicants and the performance of candidates.

To be eligible for admission to the BAF program at NMIMS, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Additionally, candidates are required to appear for the NMIMS NPAT entrance exam, which is conducted by NMIMS.

Therefore, with a score of 93%, you are eligible to apply for admission to the BAF program at NMIMS. However, admission to the program is not solely based on academic performance, and you will also need to perform well in the NMIMS NPAT entrance exam and meet other eligibility criteria. It is also advisable to keep a backup option and apply to other colleges offering similar programs to increase the chances of admission.

The likelihood of a candidate receiving a call from IIMC depends on a number of variables, including academic record, academic diversity, work history, gender diversity, and the evaluation based on categories (EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST, PWD).

Being from a reserved category will undoubtedly help you, as will your excellent Expected CAT percentile. The required percentage in undergraduate for the SC category is 55%. Therefore, yes, you have an absolutely good chance of getting a call from IIM Calcutta if your real results match the expected results.

What percentage is needed for an MA in English at Calicut University?

SK
Surya Kumar Posted On : October 29th, 2022
M.Phil in English Literature, University of Calicut

A minimum of 55% in your UG degree is required to get admission to Calicut University MA English. There is an entrance exam where 50% of your score in the Entrance Exam and 50% of your score in your UG are weighted in determining your rank-list position.

Admission is based on an Entrance Test and Marks for the BA degree, as opposed to other colleges where admission is based solely on your BA score. It will give you a better chance if you work hard enough on the text.

It is strongly advised that you pursue your MA at Calicut University's English Department. The faculty is excellent and approachable, and there is some leniency in your optional papers.
