How many students with 60 in their undergraduate life had successfully made in to IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta?

JJ
Jason Jose Posted On : December 20th, 2022
Studied at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad

It is unlikely but not impossible. One can get into any IIM, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to break in with lower UG academic scores. When the norms for Admission are established, looking for an unfavorable outcome will not help you in your efforts.

At the same time, there are other IIMs and any other 'A Grade Institution' would suffice. After ten years of work experience, everyone is equal in the corporate world. Your work and accomplishments on the job will be known and recognized. So, get started, get into a good management school, do well, join a company, and slog for the next 8-10 years. You would have caught up with a lot of people.

Even if you are fortunate enough to be admitted to an IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, or Calcutta with a 60% performance, life on campus will be excruciatingly difficult. Survival would be a much bigger challenge in that fiercely competitive environment.

Can I get admission in KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce in 80% for 11th?

SC
Sushant Choudhary Posted On : June 21st, 2023
Studied at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering

The well-known KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce in Mumbai, India, offers undergraduate and postgraduate studies in several subjects. The qualifying exam determines merit-based admission to the college's undergraduate programs.

KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce's Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program requires 45% marks in the 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam from a recognized board. Candidates also need at least 50% in Accountancy/Mathematics in the qualifying test.

You achieved 80% in 11th grade, but without knowing your 12th-grade score, it's hard to say if you'll get into KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce's B.Com program. The B.Com program's cutoff depends on the number of applicants, the number of seats, and the applicants' academic achievement.

Check the college's website or call the admission office for B.Com program cutoff scores. This will improve your college acceptance odds. You can also apply to other B.Com colleges with cutoff scores that match your academic performance.

What is the admission process for nitie?

YR
Yogita Rathi Posted On : August 13th, 2021
Studied at National Institute of Industrial Engineering

The admission process will differ depending on the course you are applying for. If you are planning on joining PGDIM, here is the basic admission process:

  • Appear for CAT.
  • Write a few essays and pay the fee when the application form for NITIE becomes available.
  • Wait till you get shortlisted as it depends on your CAT percentile, your essays, and finally, your profile.
  • If you get shortlisted, you will have to appear for a group discussion and another personal interview round.
  • If you do really well, you will be given a seat at NITIE or you will be put on a waitlist. If your case is the latter, rest assured. The lists move relatively quickly since a lot of good candidates apply to multiple top b-schools.
  • After you qualify for your admission, you will be given a short window of a few days to pay the fees. Your seat will be confirmed then.
  • Your classes will begin around mid-June.

It is a relatively simple process. Just ensure that you give your best in your essays, the personal interview, and ground discussions rounds. These would be the deal breakers for your admission.

Is it hard to gain admission to the MSIT course at JNTUH?

JP
Jiten Pradhan Posted On : August 8th, 2023
Studied at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2020)

It is not difficult to get admission into the MSIT course at JNTU Hyderabad. You just need to prepare the basic quantitative test material and you will qualify for the entrance exam.

MSIT course is offered at  IIIT H, JNTUH, JNTUA, and JNTUK. Out of 1000 candidates who seek admission into these institutions for the MSIT program, even if you are in the 300th or 400th position, you will get into one among JNTUH, JNTUA, or JNTUK.

I would suggest you aim for IIIT H for your MSIT. If you do not get admission over there, then you can choose JNTUH as your second option. IIIT H has a better reputation and placement record in comparison to JNTU Hyderabad.

I would also recommend you consult the concerned faculty, students, and alumni at these institutions to get a clearer picture of whether or not this is a good course for you. Do pay attention to coding apart from the desire of getting placed in an MNC. MSIT is a very fast-paced and difficult course. You will have to learn more than the prescribed topics.

Overall, getting into JNTU Hyderabad for your MSIT is not difficult but do keep IIIT Hyderabad as your first priority.
