What is the pass mark in Osmania University for the BE 1st SEM?

AR
Anumita Roy Posted On : September 28th, 2021
B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering (2020)

One of my friends had studied at Osmania University.

In the latest CBCS system that was being introduced in the year 2016, you must get 40% of the total marks. In other words, if you get a total of 40 marks including your external and internal in all of the subjects, then you will pass the semester.

Earlier, that is, before 2016, students had to score a minimum of 28 marks in the external examination to pass the semester.

The current rule is that, if you get 40 marks overall (Internal + external) then you will pass whereas the internal assessment is on 30 marks.

Is kakatiya university good (for b.tech)?

MG
Malabika Ghose Posted On : October 30th, 2021
ME in Sanitation Science Technology and Management at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (2021)

I have a few friends who went to Kakatiya University. According to their opinion, it is not a good option for pursuing your B.Tech.

  • The faculty base is not good.
  • There are no such lab facilities available.
  • The mid-term exams are taken after the compilation of the semester examinations.
  • In a semester, the first 4-5 months there will be almost no classes, and the syllabus is completed in the last 10 days or so.

Kakatiya University will not help you learn and develop the skills you require to do well in your career. If you have other better options, go for them instead.

Is Kurukshetra University good for a B.Tech?

SK
Saheli Koul Posted On : October 1st, 2021
B.Tech (Mechanical) from Kurukshetra University (2017)

Some of my friends studied at Kurukshetra University. According to them, it hardly matters from which University you have graduated. All that matters is what you have learned in all those years. Here are some things about the college:

  • The professors there should be well qualified, they must pay much attention to co-curriculum and above all good placements.
  • Honestly speaking, my friends suggest that there isn't any good in doing B.Tech from Kurukshetra University.
  • This is because the colleges affiliated with it are worth nothing.
  • There are very few placements in the colleges and the staff is also not organized.
  • The main concern of the students in KUK is the results.
  • It has a record of very poor results whose blame can be put on both the University as well as the students.
  • Furthermore, the curriculum is also not updated.
Categories B.Tech at Kurukshetra University
Course Fee 3.36 lakh
Highest CTC 12-15 LPA
Average CTC 6-8 LPA
Recruiting Companies CTS, Reliance, TCS, Deloitte, etc.

Lastly, it is suggested that, though the university is “A” graded and one of the old universities it's worth nothing, getting a degree from Kurukshetra University.

VS
Vinayak Shastri Posted On : October 20th, 2021
Studied B.Com from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (2018)

Here are some of the information given by a pass out student from CSJM University :

  1. The fee structure is not higher than other private colleges as it is a government college and comes under state government universities.
  2. Admission is given on the basis of the State Entrance Examination conducted by AKTU.
  3. If you are looking for campus placement opportunities, then you should not join this university. It would be better to look for other career options after doing B.Tech from CSJM.
  4. You have to put more effort into yourself to secure a future. However, the faculty is supportive but they lack proper resources.

After graduation, you can prepare further for GATE and with a good percentile, join an MNC.

Is Mizoram University a good option for a B.Tech?

HP
Hiten Patel Posted On : January 20th, 2022
B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mizoram University (2018)

One of my friends studied at Mizoram University (MZU). According to him, it is not a good choice to opt for MZU to pursue engineering.

Here are some reasons why:

  • The infrastructure is not at par with other Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs).
  • Students are not allowed to use the multimedia lab, also they lack updated technologies.
  • The curriculum is obsolete and does not match with the latest industrial requirements.
  • The content that is taught here will not extend your skill set or make you more employable.
  • In the final year, every student is required to undergo Industrial Training for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 45 days. There is no scope for any internships.
  • The faculty members are not competent and lack fundamental knowledge of their respective subjects.
  • The hostels often face insufficient electricity and water supply.
  • The mess food is not at all hygienic. Students have complained to authorities about these issues but they pay no attention to them.
  • The wifi connection is also unstable.
  • Placements are not up to the mark. Getting placed in service-oriented companies like Wipro, TCS, etc. is seen as an accomplishment.

Therefore, it is suggested that you do not opt for MZU to study engineering, because it will not be worthwhile. As you will learn less and even fall out of job opportunities.
