One of my friends had studied at Osmania University.
In the latest CBCS system that was being introduced in the year 2016, you must get 40% of the total marks. In other words, if you get a total of 40 marks including your external and internal in all of the subjects, then you will pass the semester.
Earlier, that is, before 2016, students had to score a minimum of 28 marks in the external examination to pass the semester.
The current rule is that, if you get 40 marks overall (Internal + external) then you will pass whereas the internal assessment is on 30 marks.
I have a few friends who went to Kakatiya University. According to their opinion, it is not a good option for pursuing your B.Tech.
Kakatiya University will not help you learn and develop the skills you require to do well in your career. If you have other better options, go for them instead.
Some of my friends studied at Kurukshetra University. According to them, it hardly matters from which University you have graduated. All that matters is what you have learned in all those years. Here are some things about the college:

Course Fee | 3.36 lakh |
Highest CTC | 12-15 LPA |

Lastly, it is suggested that, though the university is “A” graded and one of the old universities it's worth nothing, getting a degree from Kurukshetra University.
