What should I choose, IIIT Naya Raipur CSE, IIIT Lucknow IT, or IIIT Guwahati CSE?
In the given three colleges, IIIT Naya Raipur is the best. Comparing such an institute on the basis of whether students choose that particular college over the other would be wrong. IIIT NR can be described in three phrases: fast-paced, project-based, and pioneering. Choosing which college over the other can be your choice. But why you should choose IIIT Naya Raipur to have some reasons: IIIT Naya Raipur has its own campus. Among all the new IIITs and NITs, it has the best course structure. The institute is equipped with all the facilities that are required for the successful completion of the graduation. From labs to classroom and auditorium to sports club everything is super cool. IIIT NR has most of the faculties with immense experience in their field. They are so helpful and always guide you at each level of your course. It is the first institute in Central India that has introduced Data Science and AI in B.Tech. The institute is located 25km away from Raipur city. You’ll be close to the railway station though. Will IIIT Lucknow surpass IIIT Allahabad in 10-15 years?
There are no specific criteria as such to decide whether a college has surpassed another or not. The rankings offered by different councils, don’t matter much and are somewhat considered irrelevant too. In general, people have an overall perception in mind, in which IITs are the best, followed by NITs and some well-known IIITs, and some IISc and BITS.

- Talking about IIIT Allahabad, it is quite well established and offers decent facilities and infrastructure.
- IIIT Lucknow is far from the standards of IIIT Lucknow, and it is difficult for the institute to reach the same level as IIIT Allahabad, even after 10-15 years.
- There is a level of saturation in the minds of students and educational advisors, where there are some limits of comparison. For example, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Delhi can’t be compared to NIT Trichy or NIT Warangal.
- Although NIRF rankings provide a way to categorize institutes according to their quality, there is a standard slab that decides colleges of the same level.

Which should I choose among IIIT Lucknow, IIIT Bangalore or IIIT Delhi?
On an overall scale, IIIT Lucknow is a good option, despite being a new institute. Although, all three of these institutes are reputed. While choosing one of these, you should prioritize your choice of branch.
- Besides CS and IT, IIIT Bangalore started offering CSAI. It is a BTech in CS with an Artificial Intelligence specialization. AI is in huge demand these days.
- All three of these IIITs have decent curriculum, which is designed according to industry trends and needs.
- Despite being a new IIIT, IIIT Lucknow had good placements over the last few years. IIIT Lucknow placements 2022 had the highest CTC of INR 1.2 CPA. The placement rate for this year was 100%.
- All three colleges have good coding culture. From IIIT Lucknow, a total of 5 students were selected for GSoC 2021. IIIT Lucknow also has a Github campus expert.
These advantages make IIIT Lucknow a good choice.
Should I drop a year more for JEE Mains (3rd attempt) or join some newly established IIIT like IIIT Lucknow?
Well, the final choice totally depends on you, however, dropping one more year is not a wise thing to do. If you have scored a low rank that can’t get you into IITs or NITs, here are some useful tips that will enlighten you in this tough time.
- If your current score is too low to get into the IITs, it is most likely that you will score an extra 20-30 marks next year. Sadly, this also won’t help you get into a top IIT or NIT all of a sudden.
- On the other hand, if you decide to take admission in an institute like IIIT Lucknow, you won’t waste a year and you will learn a lot.
- It is a big misconception that only top IITs and NITs can get you great placements. Yes, do not underestimate IIITs.
- If you are passionate and hard-working enough, you can grab equally lucrative packages from prestigious institutes like IIIT Lucknow.
My brother himself dropped a year for 3rd attempt and he did regret it later. However, later he joined IIIT Allahabad and he is already getting good placement offers there. So, you don’t have to always depend on the brand tag to be successful in your life.
Are IIIT, Lucknow students given the same facilities as IIIT, Allahabad? Are they allowed in various competitions held in IIIT, Allahabad?
IIIT Lucknow shifted to its own campus in 2019. Initially, it was mentored by IIIT Allahabad. On the new campus, the infrastructure and facilities offered are up-to-date. Students are offered access to modern technology, and amenities. Students are given hostel accommodation. The labs are equipped with the latest equipment and facilities.
Does IIIT Lucknow get good placement because of IIIT Allahabad?

If you are concerned about the fact that it would affect IIIT Lucknow once they shift, the straight answer to this is YES! With this, it is going to get difficult to expect companies to show up.
Which is better, IIIT Jabalpur or IIIT Lucknow?
Many of my friends have graduated from both IIIT Jabalpur and IIIT Lucknow. According to them, IIIT Jabalpur is much better than IIIT Lucknow. Here’s sharing some of them:
- At IIIT Jabalpur, you will find it is a well-established college. On the other hand, IIIT Lucknow is under development as well as IIIT Lucknow is shifting to its campus this year.
- In terms of placement, nothing can be said about its future and placement at IIIT Lucknow.
- The CS Branch, at IIIT Jabalpur, is good and its placement is sound enough.

What should I prefer, CSE at IIIT Lucknow or mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad?
For placements, IIIT Lucknow will be bast. But if you are interested in Mechanical then MNNIT Allahabad will be a better option. Although you should keep in mind that from the future perspective Mechanical will be a risky choice. Jobs are very less in the core sector and the package will be less. The competition is also quite high in both the public and private sectors.

Is IIIT Lucknow fully functional?
The answer is YES, it is fully functional. Earlier IIIT Lucknow was dependent on the faculty and labs of IIIT Allahabad for the academics, but now, IIIT Lucknow regulates its own academic activities, organizes its own coding workshops. The classes also used to be run in the temporary campus situated in the lecture theatre of IIIT Allahabad. But from the academic year 2019-2020 itself, IIIT Lucknow has shifted itself to the newly made independent campus and has adopted the coding culture as in IIIT Allahabad.
IIIT Lucknow will have its item placements which will differ from IIIT Allahabad without a doubt. Because IIIT Lucknow is a newly made campus, chances are that few of the companies may not visit the campus regarding campus placements. But during the 4 years after which you will pass out, IIIT Lucknow may establish itself as a lead engineering institution and attract good placement packages.
