How good is IIM Kashipur for placement? Is there 100% placement, really?
IIM Kashipur maintains a good placement record every year. The final placement report for the MBA batch of 2022 has been released.

A total of 365 offers were made and more than 150 companies visited the campus during IIM Kashipur MBA placements 2022. Also, the institute witnessed an increase of 47% in PPOs/PPIs along with a 26.6% increase in the number of recruiters.
During the placement drive, the highest number of offers came from the IT & Analytics sector. 39% of the offers came from the IT & Analytics sector, 30% of the offers came from the BFSI sector, 11% of the offers came from the Management Consulting sector. Is it better to be a topper in the new IIMs (Tricky, Ranchi, Rohtak, Udaipur, Raipur, Kashipur) than being an average student at IIM A,B, or C?
One cannot really compare the enriched experience and worth of old IIMs to the newer ones. No matter how high grades you score in the older IIMs, they can never be at par even with the average marks of an old IIM student. Their skills, knowledge, and confidence are at another level. Older IIMs help you achieve bigger goals and earn much more. So it’s better if you are an average student at an old IIM than a topper at a new IIM.
What will be the TCS package while joining from LWP (leave without pay) after doing an MBA from the new IIMs (Raipur, Udaipur, Kashipur etc.) with prior experience of 29 months in the TCS?
A person joining TCS after completing an MBA from the new IIMs with a prior work experience of more than 2 years will earn around 8 - 10 LPA. The consulting roles usually offer a salary package of around 8 LPA at TCS to a B School graduate. But your prior experience and performance with TCS might also affect your package with an increase of up to 10 LPA (maximum).
How is the placement at IIM Kashipur for freshers?
IIM Kashipur welcomes both freshers and experienced crowds. My sister has worked with both and says she learned a lot from both.

If anything, there is a difference in the roles offered to freshers and experienced only and not in the average package. Companies that offer specialized jobs prefer experienced students because of the nature of the job. Whereas some companies prefer fresher, particularly for the market and sales profile.

Currently, my elder brother is placed at Cognizant as a senior business analyst at 14 Lakh CTC in IIM Kashipur. How much would he be earning in the next 5 years?
The IT industry today is flourishing and is facing a huge shortage. So he will definitely land a great job especially if he is a BBA/BCOM graduate.
Cognizant does not have very fast growth. So depending on his performance, and economic and academic background, he might witness growth between 2% to 10%. If he is an engineer from the IT stream, his growth will be faster.
In my personal opinion, his IT background does not make him suitable for IIM Kashipur or even Lucknow. An IT software engineer with 2 years of experience earns around 18 to 20 lakh.
Should I take admission in IIM Kashipur MBA analytics if offered, given that this will be their first batch for MBA analytics?

Reasons to join the course
- If you are interested in the Analytics domain then you should definitely go for it.
- You might be uncertain about the course’s worth because it’s relatively new. But its affiliation with IIM is what adds value to it apart from its excellent placement opportunities.
- If you are afraid that you will not be able to change domains in the future then you can relax. Its curriculum includes core MBA subjects from finance, marketing, operations, analytics, and HR along with fundamental concepts of analytics, in the first year.
Reason to not join the course
- You are not interested in the Analytics domain.
So apart from your disinterest in the subject, nothing is stopping you from pursuing MBA in Analytics.
How are the placements of MBA Analytics from IIM Kashipur?
My sister is an ex-student of the institute, who has benefited a lot from the courses and was able to make a way into the Analytics domain career-wise. She gives the credit to the excellent placement opportunities provided by the institute.

IIM Kashipur has also concluded the MBA Analytics Summer Placement drive where a total of 114 companies participated. The major placement highlights include the highest stipend remaining INR 3.15 Lakhs while the average stipend was INR 80K
How is BIM trichy as compared to IIM Kashipur?
One cannot really compare the two as IIM Kashipur is way ahead of BIM Trichy. Some factors that set it apart from BIM Trichy are
- The IIM brand name is enough to belittle other colleges.
- The Student Faculty Ratio of IIM Kashipur is better than BIM Trichy.
- BIM Trichy is a more than 30-year-old B school and IIM Kashipur is less than 10 years old and yet has a better placement. So imagine what the scenario will be in the coming times.

NMIMS renders you short-term advantages but IIMs offer many long term advantages. Even the faculty is better at IIMs than at NMIMS. But being a new institute, it lacks an alumni base. Any far-sighted person can definitely say that your IIM tag will help you in the long run.

Yes, you do have a chance to convert calls from IIM Kashipur. However, I will suggest that you aim for at least 95 percentile.
