I have 2 years of work experience and I have got admission to IBS Hyderabad. Should I join? Is it good?

SL
Saija Luthra Posted On : February 24th, 2023
Studied at IBS Hyderabad

To make an informed decision, you need to analyze your future prospects. Consider where you see yourself two years from now, or, if money is a primary concern for you, estimate how much you will earn in two years.

The average package offered by IBS Hyderabad is 6 lakhs. However, if you have a couple of years of experience and are in the top 10th percentile of your batch, there is a good chance you could earn 7-8 lakhs. In this case, enrolling in IBS Hyderabad would be a viable option if you don't see yourself earning a similar salary within two years.

Furthermore, you should evaluate your ability to gain admission to a better business school such as an IIM. If you have the potential to do so, it would be a wise decision to invest your efforts into pursuing this opportunity. However, if you really believe that you are not in that league, enrolling in IBS Hyderabad would still be a viable option, as discussed in the second paragraph.

How can I get admission into the IIM Sirmaur? What are its fees and other requirements?

ND
Naman Dubey Posted On : January 19th, 2023
MBA from Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (Graduated 2021)

One of the major requirements of IIM Sirmaur is hard work and determination. You need constant motivation to crack CAT and score a high percentile.

Once you have cracked CAT, CAP comes into the picture wherein the WAT-PI round is conducted. You will have to prepare for the interview beforehand as this is not something you can do without confidence. You will have to smartly answer their questions.

After the candidates have undergone all the admission rounds, a merit list is created based on a score calculated from all the rounds including CAT, personal interview and profile of the candidate. Given below is a breakup of the scores for creating the final merit list-:

  • Scaled CAT Score: 35 Marks
  • Personal Interview (PI): 30 Marks
  • Profile: 35 Marks

Fees

Program

Fees

MBA

INR 13.75 lakh (2 years)

International Immersion Program

INR 1 lakh (per term)

Along with the fees, the student is required to pay Rs.1,00,000/- in each term (up to the fourth term) for the International Immersion Programme. In the event that the Immersion program is not conducted, the cost fee charged for the immersion program activity shall be adjusted against the term fee.

I got 82 in 10th, and 72 in 12th, and I am a general category male student. Are there any chances that I could get admission in IIM Calcutta?

HS
Harleen Sethi Posted On : December 20th, 2022
Technical Team Leader at Teach For India (organization)

There are numerous factors that influence your admission. But, to be honest, IIM Calcutta has the most straightforward selection criteria. All you need to do is get a CAT score of 99.8% or higher and you'll be contacted. This may appear vague because 99.8% is a big deal, but it's comparatively simple because you may not receive calls from IIMA or IIMB even if you score 99.99%.

Other determining factors include

  • Grade point averages. The higher the scores, the greater the likelihood of conversion.
  • Profile. The more diverse your achievements, the better your chances.
  • You can't change the category and gender diversity.

Finally, consider your graduation option. If you are not an engineer, you have a better chance of getting an MBA in college.

What should I join, SIBM Pune or IIM Visakhapatnam?

PS
Prabhat Sharma Posted On : January 24th, 2023
B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Patna (IITP) (Expected 2025)

Don’t go for IIM Visakhapatnam if you are just attracted by the IIM tag. While it surely is part of the IIM family that does not necessarily mean it has the same standards. Between the two, SIBM Pune gives a slight edge to IIM Visakhapatnam. If you talk about them generally they definitely are good institutions, but they are not the best. IIM Visakhapatnam is not yet recognised at SIBM Pune.

But if your preference is staying in your hometown or other location factors and IIM Visakhapatnam is suitable for you, then go for it. Both are almost similar in terms of worth and academics. At the end of the day it’s not the institution but your own performance that matters.

What are the minimum marks for an MBBS to get admission in CMC Ludhiana?

Raktim Tarafdar Posted On : September 25th, 2023

CMC is a minority-based institution where the majority of seats are reserved. General Category Students in the Open quota, hardly are allotted 4 seats so the cutoff is very unpredictable and changes every year depending on the level of difficulty of the exam and other factors.

That said, it’s difficult to determine the minimum marks required to get admission to CMC Ludhiana without knowing your category and the year you will be attempting. The cutoff for the previous year for various categories are listed below:

General

351

OBC

572

SC

547

To give a rough estimate, in a fairly easy paper, you need 600+ and in a difficult one, you might need 560+ that is if you want a general category seat (Open quota) in CMC for MBBS.

How do I get into JBIMS through the NRI quota?

SJ
Sidhharth Jain Posted On : March 6th, 2023
Education Consultant

In order to be eligible for JBIMS, you must have one blood relative who is an NRI. You will have to appear for the MH-CET exam. JBIMS does not have a GDPI round as the admission process is conducted through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) round. JBIMS is considered one of the top-ranked business schools in India and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai.

The average placement at JBIMS last year was 27.63 LPA, with the highest being 42 LPA. JBIMS is sometimes referred to as the "factory of CEOs." The team will guide you based on your profile to help secure a confirmed admission at JBIMS or other top business schools in India that fit your budget.

If you don't want to waste a year, it is recommended to approach the team immediately to start the admission process for JBIMS. If you would like more information about the admission process or references from students admitted to JBIMS through the team last year, feel free to ask at any time. However, it is important to note that there are limited seats available.

If I get an admission in FMS Delhi and I'm doing an MBA in finance, will my past academic records affect my placement at FMS? I got 77% in 10th, 68% in 12th, and 68% at engineering graduation.

You will probably face challenges in getting admission to FMS Delhi due to your academic records. There is a high level of competition, and a percentile score of 99.80 or higher will be needed to receive a call. How can I get admission in 11th commerce at DEI (Dayalbagh Educational Institute)?

MH
Manali Hudait Posted On : November 26th, 2021
studied at Dayalbagh Educational Institute (2019)

Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) provides higher education only after class 12th, with the exception of class 10th for diploma and ITI certificate courses.

Like DEI there is another institute linked with it named REI (Radhasoami Educational Institute).

This institute provides education from classes 1 to 12th. REI has its own board. It provides the 12th equivalent course like CBSE and UP boards. Graduating 12th from REI is equivalent to graduating 12th from both of these.

If you want to get admission in 11th (Commerce) at DEI you have to fill the application form of REI which is an affiliated college of DEI. After this, the entrance test will be held by this institute which includes a written exam and interview. On the basis of a written test and interview a collective merit will be prepared, on the basis of which you will be selected.
